Public Safety Fee
The Public Safety Fee is a charge for service enacted by City Council via Ordinance No. 480, effective as of July 1, 2014.  This fee will offset the cost of retaining an additional Lane County Sheriff's Deputy.  The total cost for the additional deputy in the 2014-2015 fiscal year is $170,777.  Public Safety Fee Information Sheet

The City of Creswell contracts with the Lane County Sheriff's Department for law enforcement services.  This provides the City with access to services typically available only to larger agencies.
