The City of Creswell, Oregon is seeking its next City Manager who will administer a staff of 21 and a city budget of $14.7 million. The city seeks an individual who will lead the City Administration in a transparent, accountable and ethical manner. The preferred candidate will be familiar with municipal budgeting, grants, and finance, and have a good understanding of project management, public works and emergency management. The successful candidate will be able to manage all aspects of human resources including recruitment, retention and termination of employment. The City Manager will promote cooperation among the Council, staff, and citizens in developing City policies, and building a sense of community. The City Manager will be proficient in facilitating public meetings and collaborating effectively with the City Council. The City Manager will be diligent in carrying out council directives and implementing the strategic plan.

Required Minimum Education / Experience:
The City Manager position requires a bachelor's degree in public administration, planning, political science, or related field, and at least five years of upper-level government management experience, or 2 years of higher education and 10 years of upper-level government management experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Oregon local government experience is helpful.
Salary and Benefits:
The City of Creswell provides a competitive annual salary range of $130,000 to $160,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental and Vision Care Insurance, Basic and Supplemental Life Insurance,

Final compensation and benefits will be negotiated and incorporated into an agreement approved by the City Council.

The appointment of the City Manager is by the Mayor with the consent of a majority of the City Council.
